How is it that when the Hurricane Sandy relief bill was voted on by the House of Representatives on Jan 4, 2013, my congressman that represents the Eastern Shore and part of Baltimore County voted against the relief bill for New Jersey and New York residents. He was one of the 67 Republicans that voted against the bill. Just what do we expect out of Congressman Harris when the next deadly storm hits Maryland? That's right, he wants us to find ways "to pay for it". This man is an embarrassment to Maryland and all of you folks on the Eastern Shore who voted for him better go get some very good insurance. 'Cause he ain't gonna help you all one bit when Ocean City meets Mother Nature.

I couldn't believe that either. I guess it's because he lives in Cockeysville and it hardly rained there.
Somebody should check his EZ Pass and see how many times (if any) he actually crossed the Bay Bridge.

4 letters P O R K.
Maybe he is sick on how DC does business. My question is why didn't the democrats just produce a bill that the money was just for Sandy relief?

Dummy, because the Dems can't bring a bill up in the House. Did you know that or you haven't read the rules?

Ok Richard Cranium. Your right I don't know all the ins and outs of Bill writing in congress but what I can't almost say with certain if the PORK was out of the Bill it most likely would have passed when it was brought to the floor the first time.
As far as the name calling goes it definitely shows your maturity level. Its great to hide behind a computer and run your jaws isn't it?

I don't know Eastloser, are you sitting behind a computer hiding your name and running your dumb jaws? It appears you have confessed to that.

Do you really think, Eastsider, that Republican members of Congress voted for the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 for the good of the country, but Democrats voted for it because it was loaded with provisions favorable to their constituencies?
I have only read the Table of Contents of the 157 page bill ( http://politi.co/UUyfaH ) , but it seems to be filled with no more and no less "pork" than was present on December 31.
By the way, how much of the current defense spending do you consider to be "pork?"

Proud to be one of the 67 teabagging Republicans that voted against the bill. Wow. Go Harris.

GO ANDY HARRIS
Of course my new representative, after the gerrymandering by Marty is:
The worthless, pompous liberal, tax and spend, water boy for Obama
Elijah Cummings. A real waste.
