After Assault, Christina’s Headed Back to Liquor Board

Dundalk adult entertainment establishment is cited for allegedly disturbing the peace following an assault of a patron outside the bar.

An adult entertainment establishment on North Point Boulevard is headed back to the Baltimore County Liquor Board to face new allegations of violations following the assault of a patron in the bar’s parking lot.

Christina’s Female Revue is scheduled for a show causing hearing in front of the liquor board on Aug. 15 for an alleged Rule 3, music and noise violation, for disturbing the peace, and a Rule 5, underage employee violation.

The most recent allegations stem from an assault of two patrons in the bar’s parking loy by a large group in the early hours of June 26, according to Baltimore County police reports.

Two Baltimore County police officers responded to Franklin Square Hospital after a woman reported that her husband and brother-in-law had been assaulted outside Christina’s.

According to the woman’s account to police, she and the men had been visiting her girlfriend at the bar. They had been teasing the girlfriend throughout the night “because of her impaired condition as a result of her partying,” according to the woman’s statement to police. She believes her husband and her brother-in-law were assaulted—kicked and punched repeatedly in the head and face, she said—because her girlfriend’s other male friends were angry about the teasing.

The woman’s husband was seriously injured in the assault, suffering a fracture to his right orbital area as well as a nasal fracture. His injuries were not life-threatening but he was transferred to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma for facial surgery.

Her brother-in-law was also injured but did not require hospitalization, according to police reports.

According to the woman’s statement, 10 men attacked her husband and brother-in-law who were smoking outside in the parking lot which does not have a video surveillance system.

“We work with bar owners to impress upon them that they are responsible for patrons, not only inside the four walls of their establishment, but in the parking lot,” said Michael Mohler, administrator for the Baltimore County Liquor Board. “And they’re responsible outside the parking lot as well if they serve an intoxicated person and it leads to a [driving while impaired charge].”

As part of the investigation, the liquor board cited Christina's for allegedly having an underage employee in the bar.

Entertainers may work in Baltimore County bars if they are under 21 and 18 or older, but they must register with the board.

Christina’s was ordered to pay a $750 fine at a Baltimore County Liquor Board meeting June 20 after serving an underage undercover police cadet. According to Liquor Board records, Christina’s has had eight hearing before the board since 2006.
