Baltimore City Road Construction Open House Tonight
Baltimore City transportation officials will share information about projects planned for Broening Highway and Dundalk Avenue.
Commuters who regularly traverse Baltimore city's tooth-jarring portions of Broening Highway and Dundalk Avenue might want to attend a gathering tonight hosted by the city's Department of Transportation.
The Southeast Road Reconstruction Program community open house will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 18, at 1708 Dundalk Ave. in the Holabird Manor apartments.
Residents are invited to learn about a series of improvement projects in southeast Baltimore, which will include the reconstruction of Broening Highway, the streetscaping of Dundalk Avenue, intersection safety improvements throughout the area and the commercial vehicle management plan for the area, according to a statement from city officials.
Transportation leaders will talk about the projects and share with residents the best ways to get around during construction.

This had been promised well over a year ago. It would have been great if the county elected officials had received notice of this meeting instead of reading it in the Patch.
We have had many calls about the condition of Broening Highway and have never been provided information.

Yeah telling them Fred. I have emailed over and over to the patch and even posted the telephone number. The last time I called Towson to complain they gave me the number to the shop. I called the shop and they told me they didn't know when it would be done. Broening Highway is horrible. Try going the speed limit 35 and see if you don't rattle your car apart. If your missing a hub cap, go look on the corner in front of the 2300 block of Broening highway. I am sure you may find one to fit your car or someone else you know. We pay the taxes for the roads to be fixed...yeah right, maybe they should pay us to have our vehicles fixed. FIX THE DAMN ROADS!!!! State raised the tolls for money, they got money from the lottery big hit for the state, not to mention the revenue for the repairs. Trying call about the roads! I never new about tonights meeting until I received the Patch email also.
