CCBC Dundalk to Celebrate Campus Renovations

The May 2 ceremony will officially unveil a facelift that included the expansion and modernization of the campus library, cafeteria and bookstore.

 

The Community College of Baltimore County will celebrate the completion of a $6.7 million renovation project on its Dundalk campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 2.

College officials, students, elected officials, community leaders and members of the public will gather in the lobby of K Building at 10 a.m. to celebrate the expanded and modernized library, cafeteria, bookstore and Student Success Center.

Employees will enjoy improved work space in the Employee Training Center, public safety offices and print shop.

Over a 16-month period, construction transformed more than 40,000 square feet of educational, gathering and work spaces in buildings K and L, according to a statement from the college.

The project is part of a major capital renewal effort being led by CCBC President Sandra Kurtinitis.

The renovated space brings together "the best of our efforts to create pleasing yet functional spaces for all members of our college community," she said in the statement.
