Drug Bust at Dundalk Club Leads to 7 Arrests, More Possible
The Black Hole Rock Club on German Hill Road was the target of a nearly 15-month investigation. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Seven people were arrested at the Black Hole Rock Club on German Hill Road Aug. 11, when more than 100 Baltimore County police officers showed up to serve a search warrant, Baltimore County police said Monday afternoon.
The arrests were the result of a nearly 15-month investigation into alleged drug dealing at the club, according to a police press release.
“Police received complaints that drugs were used openly throughout the club and undercover officers purchased narcotics inside the club at several times during the investigation,” according to the press release. “Marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstasy, ketamine, and Psilocybin mushrooms were recovered inside the club during the search warrant.”
The manager of the Black Hole Rock Club, Christopher Trikeriotis, 47, of the 14900 block of Dunstan Lane, in Monkton, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances along with other drug-related charges, Baltimore County police said. Detectives serving a search warrant on his home, allegedly recovered 175 marijuana plants growing in his basement.
Trikeriotis was released from the Baltimore County Detention Center on $100,000 bail. Additional charges are pending for the marijuana plants found in his home, according to police.
The liquor license for the Black Hole Rock Club is held by Joyce Trikeriotis, Christopher Trikeriotis’ wife.
A Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office representative accompanied police to the Black Hole during the search warrant, as did inspectors from the Baltimore County Office of Code Enforcement and the Baltimore County Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office. The business was declared condemned after an assessment, according to the Baltimore County police statement.
Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson and Michael Mohler, chief administrator of the Baltimore County Board of Liquor License Commissioners, are trying to determine if other immediate actions can be taken against the club. Johnson is exploring whether the Black Hole can be closed permanently under the Baltimore County “Padlock Law”, according to the county police press release.
Jean Paul Steinberg, 36, of the 2100 block of West County Line in Jackson, NJ, was arrested and charged with distribution of controlled dangerous substance and other related narcotics offenses. The night of the warrant, undercover detectives purchased Psilocybin mushrooms from him, and he possessed what detectives believe to be ecstasy, marijuana, and methamphetamines. Steinberg is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail.
Zane Aiden Langworthy, 21, of the 200 block of Sheridan Avenue in Fort Myer, VA, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was released on $20,000 bail.
Four club patrons arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia:
Elizabeth Kim Lee Walger, 25, of the 1100 block of Sleepy Dell Court, Towson, MD.
Kathryn Diane Sasko, 20, of the 9100 block of Winding Way, Ellicott City, MD.
Evan Thomas Tritt, 22, of the 200 block of Sheridan Avenue in Fort Myer, VA.
Devin Anthony Boyle, 23, of the 9200 block of Canterbury Riding, Laurel, MD.
Police found suspected controlled dangerous substances on six additional patrons, and charges could be placed after the results of chemical analysis are received, Baltimore County police said.

Gus's was a great bar to see your friends in..and Gus was a good man, him and his wife Marlene I believe her name is/was. He always was in the bar making sure trouble makers were kicked out, and he WAS NOT A DRUNKEN BAR OWNER. He had class. He loved the young people/ and would talk and cut up with us back then. He kept a pretty nice bar, inside out. Yes, Gus's had the normal issues ..people arguing out side or being loud, even when it was late, of course when you are drunk ..you are not thinking it is 1 am and you should not be hollering across the parking lot, then your ignorant guy who is drunk urinating in the parking lot or by his car. Yes neighbors complained all the time. But that place does look like an eye sore and sheeeeeewwwwwwwwww what a name? THE BLACK HOLE..not very inviting to me. But anyway just wanted to leave a comment...Maybe they could make that a nice place for young people to go ..we need a second skate rink in dundalk. put something on that lot for the young people ..we don't need that bar there really.

How about putting a non-alcoholic, all-ages music venue there? They already have a nice stage and sound-system. Why does art & music always have to be associated with drugs & alcohol? I know, it's not a perfect world, but creative kids with bands don't have many local places to play these days to express themselves. Kids who express themselves through writing music and rehearsing with a couldn't (or shouldn't) care less about performing their art for drunkards. That's not why kids start playing music. But instead, their options are places that are alcohol-infested, drug-infested and even religion-infested music venues. (Yes, I'm referring to the church groups that host live music for kids in bands. They're intentions are very noble, but where are the athiest kids supposed to play? That's a whole different story, though.)
An aside - Why do all these county bars have to be so redneckish and testosterony and dare I say 80's? There seems to always be fights and conflicts in county bars. Go down in the city to the Sidebar or Ottobar and everyone's chilled out and respectful. What is it about the county? Sure, there are the ocassional shootings in the city, but I generally feel safe in city bars and on edge in the county bars.

And fyi I was good friends with everyone that worked there until I got the real behind the scenes picture of what was really going on. When I stated my opinion to Chris he threw me and my boyfriend against the wall took all of our money out of our walets and threw us out forever stating that we were selling drugs without paying our taxes to him. Fuck Chris he did ruin that club. I was there from the first day it opened to 1.5 years before it closed and I got to watch the Black Hole deteriorate. Fyi I was one of the people that reported to the D.E.A and I am damn proud of it. People can say snitches get stitches all they want. Ive been to this club one time in march because my ex was bouncing there and it was filth!! It doesnt come as a suprise to me that drugs were found... I agree that this was no place for anyone let alone kids which is what I saw most. I sat by the front door and watched as these little girls came in dressed like skanks and danced like skanks and watched older men come in just to take pictures and hit on little girls! I unfortuanately had to make a trip to the restroom and it was DISGUSTING! in the back room (which you had to walk thru to get to the bathroom) even after the MD clean indoor air act club-goers were all smoking (and I'm a smoker) I couldnt even breathe! I will say one thing about the club they were very careful about letting those under 21 in, IDs were check thuroughly and each person is patted down to check for weapons and bags and purses were checked of course I am sure that more than one of those kids with large backpacks had drugs in them... Its sad not that it could close, not that it is disruptive to the community, but that all of this 'bad' is out there, that it is so easily accesible to young people

I am 26 (just to put it out there before the angry illiterate guy starts calling people out on ages) I worked at the The Hole for almost a year... when I started I thought sooo highly of Chris he was very honest on my interview, he told me about his past and how he no longer participated in certain activities to avoid getting himself in trouble. After several months the bar was doing amazing and Chris began drinking heavily with the staff... everything went to crap from that day on... we had very ghetto rap shows with the most disrespectful customers majority of the bar staff threatened to quit. Then all the" raves" started it was a steady downward spiral I quit and have not been" allowed" in the bar since I guess they were afriad because I knew to much. I also worked with Tonto and he is 1 not a young punk and 2 he is not a thug. PS I love panteria!! Wait who is that again?? Ever since this place turned into the "Black Hole" it has seriously been a pit. I went once... because I heard it appealed to a younger crowd (I'm 22) and I swore to never go back. It was disgusting. I witnessed, clear as day, several patrons openly using drugs. Smoking drugs, huffing drugs, taking pills. The works. I can't believe it's taken them THIS long to crack down on the place. The place, as someone said above, was filthy. The young girls there were wearing hardly any clothing (I'm talking like. Bras and a tutu.) and there were tons of creepy older men gawking at them and YES, taking pictures--I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that! When I went, there WERE underage girls there. They checked IDs at the door but if someone was under 21, they were still let in at an additional charge. I can't remember if I got a wristband for being 21 or not, but that really doesn't matter. It doesn't matter whether or not these younger people were buying drinks or not because there were people in the bathrooms selling them drugs. So everyone was intoxicated one way or another. The place was filthy. EVERYTHING WAS WET. I felt unclean and with everything going on around me, I couldn't wait to leave. I felt very very out of place. I've told everyone I know to never go there. I also agree that it's a real eyesore. Good riddance!!!

What amazes me that the Black Hole lasted as long as it did. The esthetics of the building - all black - was at the very least an eyesore to the surrounding homes.
How does a situation go this long and unnoticed by the powers that be, including the police department and the councilman's office?
A similar boiling cauldron over at Club Baltimore in Rosedale, culminated in a homicide and a police officer being sent to the hospital.
Judging by the responses this was not a top secret neighborhood nightclub.

Buzz,
Yes, this place had a ton of issues, but I've noticed a few posts mentioning the fact that it was an eyesore because it was painted black. I don't think the black paint made it all that appealing myself, but isn't the color your paint your building a matter of opinion and no one else's business?
In other words, if I wanted to paint my house PLAID, despite all of my neighbors complaints, isn't completely my right as a home/business owner?

A Baltimore City police officer was arrested and charged Tuesday with leading a heroin distribution operation, including allegations that he arranged drug transactions while on duty and met conspirators in the parking lot of his district station, records show.
The officer, Daniel G. Redd, 41, was taken into custody Tuesday at the Northwest District police station, officials said. Several law enforcement sources say Redd had been under suspicion for years, but within the past six months city police asked the FBI to investigate.

@Tiffany Really??? Oh My God kids are experimenting with drugs? Alert the media because this has to be a first right? How old are you? Because my guess is if you're under 70 you at least knew one kid that smoked pot or tried acid in college and as much as everyone wants to talk about how much better that club was back in the day, I've heard stories of bikers buying PCP among other illegal substances there 30 years ago. The meth honestly scares and surprises me as much as anyone but ketomine and mushrooms? Go to MAPS.com both of those substances have shown amazing potential for curing serious mental illnesses as has MDMA. As far as driving home from the club I would imagine it would be as likely as it is that people leave any bar to drive home drunk.
It was a grimey club towards the end and I had stopped going but it was more due to the crowd that the "dancers" had brought in (creepy old guys just there to ogle young girls) than anything else. The truth is if this was as dangerous as people seem to think it was why weren't there any deaths? If there were kids ODing left and right they wouldn't have needed an investigation to shut it down. Also, are drunken fights really preferable to kids playing music in their cars a little loud while they sober up before they drive home?

Justine, you answered your own question. Both examples involved drugs. One involved a city cop and the other a nightclub manager.
Why would the community be worried about a nightclub; because of the many issues that go with an operation like this in the middle of a residential area. I would think that that those who live in the city would also be concerned about a bad cop.
Peace loving kids looking for a good time! If you read the Sun and follow the number of homicides involving drugs you would understand the answer.
affexion

Those homicides are only possible due to prohibition. How many people have you seen gunned down over Alcohol trade since 1929? Another example would be the diamond trade. Should we look at everyone wearing a diamond the same way because there is just as much violence and loss of innocent lives involved in the diamond trade as there is in the drug trade (if you break it down drug by drug there are some substances with far less blood on them than even good ol Walmart)
