Dundalk Crime: Burglary, Robbery, Property Theft

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wise Avenue, 300 block, 4:20 a.m., Oct. 3. A 66-year-old Dundalk man was allegedly caught attempting to steal tools after breaking a fence chain. James Edward Compton, of the 8200 block of Kavanaugh Road, was charged with fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and theft of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.

Marshall Road, 1800 block, between 11 p.m., Oct 4 and 1 a.m., Oct. 5. Enrty to a home was gained through an unlocked basement door and a 50-inch plasma TV was taken.

Sollers Point Road, 200 block, between 7 p.m., Sept. 30 and 9 a.m., Oct. 1. A 2007 Buick LeSabre, valued at $10,00, was stolen from a residence. According to police reports, the 75-year-old male owner of the vehicle told police someone entered the home through a side window and took the keys to the vehicle.

German Hill Road, 6900 block, 2:05 a.m., Sept. 30. A rock was thrown through the window at Royal Pizza and a cash register inside was slammed to the floor in an unsuccessful attempt to open it.

Jasmine Road, 2100 block, 11:36 p.m., Sept. 30. Two unidentified men entered an alley near the above location, exited a vehicle and pushed a 19-year-old male to the ground. The two men then removed $1,000 from the 19-year-old man's back pocket.

Berkshire Road, 7300 block, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Sept. 30. A television, DVD player and stereo system were taken from a residence after entry was gained through a possible unlocked window.

Van Buren Road, 1900 block, between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.,Sept. 22. Entry to a home was gained through a window and a Playstation3, Playstation3 controller and game were taken.

Dunmore Road, 3000 block, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sept. 21. The rear door to a home was forced open and a checkbook and other paperwork were taken.

Salisbury Road, 3000 block, between 6 p.m., Sept. 20 and 10:30 a.m., Sept. 21. An unsecured central air conditioning unit was taken from a yard.

Yorkway, 2500 block, between Sept. 19 and 11:20 a.m., Sept. 20. At a home owned by Ryan Homes, electrical wires were cut and an electrical box, valued at $600, was removed from the basement.

Commerce Street, unit block, between Aug. 1 and 3:50 p.m., Sept. 19. A tankless water heater, valued at $900, was taken from a basement. The basement is accessible from a nearby business and adjoining apartments.
