Two of Dundalk's own recently displayed why they are some of the best athletes in the area.

Three local fighters recently fought in Stellar Fights' Feb. 11 card in Harrington, DE: Sean Kelly, Matt Oakley and Eli Swartz.

Oakley, a special education teacher at the High Road School of Baltimore County in Dundalk, participated in a charity caged grappling match, where the Baltimore resident and amateur mixed martial arts fighter forced professional fighter Steven Baker to tap out due to a rear-naked choke.

Kelly, a 6-foot-5 athlete who played lacrosse and soccer at Dundalk High School, trains locally at Practical MMA. Kelly dominated his match with Leandro Vioto before being caught in an armbar which forced Kelly to tap out and lose the fight.

Swartz, a Pasadena resident who trains at Ground Control, delivered a devastating blow at the same time as receiving one that knocked both he and his opponent, Laurence Gensler to the mat. Swartz was the first to regain his composure and that earned him KO of the night and a victory.
