We should ban semi-automatic automobiles. And limit them to magazines holding only 6 passengers or less. Cars are very dangerous and no one should be allowed to own or use one from now on. Where is the legislature when you need it? Dogs should be outlawed too. And maybe cats.

The chances of finding out who hit this man is very high due to being located on a peninsula.

If the driver's involved were traveling eastbound on North Point RD then they were heading into a very very small community with only a few dozen square mile's of land. They had to either be going home, or to one of the very few business's that are in that area. Very few business's are around, and even fewer are open in the evening when this happened.

that is a terrible part of the road to try to walk on/and or cross. I have had many close calls myself. It terrible that no one seen the suspects, at that time of night I'm surprised...

And we should ban semi-automatic roads and make it illegal to own or use one. Roads are dangerous. They kill more people than guns. Dogs should be banned as well.

We should ban all animals. Especially semi-automatic ones. Some animals can travel at high speeds on the roadways and do real damage. Ban roads too.

Its unbelievable that 2 people fled the scene. I knew this man and want these people caught. Unfortunately there was a similar accident in edgemere to a friends father where police located the vehicle that struck and killed his father but could not prove who was driving and the police could not even tell anyone who the vehicle belonged to. Our laws are great at protecting its just the wrong ones

Laws are not the answer. Teaching our youngsters to respect life is where it begins for the next generation. The one's doing this stuff are already too far gone. We start teaching our youngsters by banning abortion which is just as violent (maybe more) to human life. You want to screw with God's statutes and commandments, then this is what it looks like. It isn't the car, the gun, the dog or the road that kills. It's the people. Plain and simple. Our society has been de-sensitized to the degree where it is quite normal to hit, then run over then leave to die a human without any sense of responsibility. See what you can get away with is the trend. And putting these individuals in prison will only cost us more of our hard earned $$. Had they been taught better perhaps this wouldn't have happened at all. But you all want your cake and eat it too. Can't be done.

I live in Edgemere and these local roads are more like NASCAR. Persons that hit this man have no soul. But around here people hit animals and leave them in the road so I am saddened that no one had any regard for this man. May he rest in peace. My condolences to the family and his friends. Hopefully when these people are found they will be held accountable.

Al Day—
A man died here, and a family is grieving. I would appreciate it if you can refrain from making light of the situation and making your point about gun control on the back of a fatal crash. Thanks. — Marge

How can you live with yourself knowing that you hit this poor old man and just keep on driving. Give yourself up because it is the right thing to do. And to the family of this man, I am so very sorry for your loss.
