Key Bridge Fuel Spill Causing Slippery Road Conditions

The spill was reported to Baltimore County fire officials at 6:45 p.m.

 

If you're a motorist headed toward the Francis Scott Key Bridge, you're encouraged to exercise caution and expect delays.

Baltimore County firefighters are on the scene of a large fuel spill at the top of the bridge that is creating slippery conditions for vehicles, according to a dispatcher for the fire department.

The spill was reported to fire department officials at about 6:45 p.m.

Maryland Department of Transportation officials could not be reached.

The spill was caused from an earlier accident on the bridge. MDTA PD removed the damaged vehicle but reopend all traffic before any clean up could be performed on the road surface.
