The North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department's annual carnival kicks off tonight and runs through Saturday, Aug. 11.

A fireworks display will begin at dusk tonight (Aug. 6) and the annual parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10.

Procrastinators have until 3 p.m. today to stop by the Shallow Creek Bookstore and Cafe, 7216 North Point Road, to pick up reduced-price carnival ride tickets.

Tickets that allow patrons to ride all night cost just $11.
