Patapsco, Sparrows Point Art Teachers Presenting at National Convention

Eleven Baltimore County visual arts teachers plan to present at the National Art Education Association Convention.

 

The Baltimore County Public Schools released the following press announcement:

Eleven visual arts teachers from Baltimore County Public Schools have had their presentation proposals accepted for the 2012 National Art Education Association Convention, to be held in New York City, March 1-4, 2012.  

The teachers are:

"To have 11 presentations selected from one school district is very impressive. The selection process is highly competitive,” said Linda Popp, BCPS visual arts coordinator. “These BCPS teachers make inspiring professional contributions to advance research and practice in visual arts education."

The convention, Emerging Perspectives|Connecting Teaching, Learning, and Research, is expected to attract 6,000 participants and will celebrate NAEA’s 65th anniversary. NAEA members include K-12 teachers as well as college and university professors, researchers, scholars, artists, administrators, and art museum educators.
