The Dundalk Heritage Parade Committee once again sponsored a ceremony to remember and honor the heroes of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pa.

A piece of twisted and rusted steel I-beam, once part of New York's World Trade Center, held a place of honor at Tuesday's ceremony at Heritage Park.

Almost as if on cue, the setting sun seemed to spotlight the I-beam display just before the ceremony began.
