A turkey vulture, which just moments before this picture was taken had been feasting on a roadside carcass, seems to be keeping an eye on the meal that he abandoned when photographer Jimmy Rode approached him.

Today's Photo of the Day, by Dundalk photographer Jimmy Rode, is of a turkey vulture perched in a tree, keeping an eye out on a meal it had to leave because of Rode approaching.

Rode tried to get a photo of the bird feasting on a roadside carcass on a small country road in Dorchester County but he flew off before he could.

"I only wish he let me take a picture of him dining," Rode wrote in a facebook post.
