We should all feel a little safer because of this fine police work...wonder how many legitimate operators lost business because of the intrusion..

The knock off stuff is sold cheap...consumers know what they're buying... why not place this kind of effort, focus and tax dollar use on going after the real..dangerous criminals...petty enforcement at best..

Buck, just thinking out loud but I wonder if some of the legitimate operators at the North Point Flea Market may have contacted the Police to complain about all of the counterfeit items being sold that have hurt their business. I realize that this isn't the crime of the century but if someone makes a complaint the Police will investigate no matter how small. I'm sure the officers would rather be investigating something a little more exciting then this though--ha! Sort of reminds me years ago when the vice squad raided a bunch of old men (in their 70 & 80's) for gambling violations playing poker.

It is a flea market - you know what you are getting. Another misguided operation from the BC police. On the other hand, I am sure Dunkin Donuts was sold out this morning.

Feel so much safer now.

I wonder if anyone else sees the wasted Government spending. REALLY they sell fake stuff cheap at the Flea Market. It took federal money and under cover cops months to figure this out? Just ask anyone where they got those purple Uggs.

Do your homework. Seems like a "nothing" crime, but the majority of the profits made from these counterfeit good supports terrorism and other organized crime.

What they were doing was illegal. No different than running a red light, scalping tickets, robbery, drug dealing or murder. Though you may think it's petty the police got a tip, acted on it and prevailed. Good job BCoPD.

And what the gov is doing is illegal too. Strip searches at the airport and sporting events when there are other means to the same end. Killing people with drones who happen to be in the wrong place an the wrong time. Our gov needs to adjust and get back to what made this country great. Invading other countries isn't legal but our gov does it. So what if a guy is making a living selling counterfeit. At least we get a deal there at the flea market. AT the walmart the same stuff costs much more. Red lights my eye. No one was commiting rape, robbery drug dealing etc. I suppose you'd rather see them do that instead!!!

Doesn't walmart sell the same danged stuff in their stores??? Oh, I forgot the gov doesn't get their cut at the flea market like they do at the walmart. Sorry. I didn't realize the true nature of this "crime".

To the complainers of the County Police next time you need them for some petty crime like illegal parking, graffiti on your fence, noise complaint, someone smashing out your car window ect.... remember what you said the police should not deal with such petty crimes they have better things to do.

It's a trademark violation. It's like identity theft in a round about way.

It was the county police along with federal agents that was involved. Plus I know some of the officers involved.

Who gets robbed? All the people who work hard to produce the originals - it is their hard work, artistic talents and well made productions being poorly copied and used for free by counterfeiters.

Trademark experts are trained and tested and passed the test. And most of us could easily be trained to spot counterfeit goods.

People pay less for counterfeit goods, but do they get their money's worth? If you feel that the originals are overpriced, don't buy them. People buy knockoffs because some people think that counterfeit goods are as fashionable and well made as originals, but they are wrong. People who do sport original goods can often spot a fake across a crowded room.

If you know for certain that Walmart, or anyone else, is selling counterfeit goods, than report it and possibly receive a cash reward - from the corporation who's goods were copied or the government. Or just do it to be a good citizen. REPORT IT TO THE RIPPED-OFF MANUFACTURER!

Governments do a lot - on a HUGE scale - that I am opposed to, too. But I'm against waiting to stop counterfeiters until after all of our country's most major problems are ended.

Counterfeiting is a major problem to the talented, dedicated people who work hard to create and produce quality goods that get knocked off as cheap stuff.

When you really think about it, if you go ta place like this thinking you are going to buy a $300 North Face jacket for $100, maybe you should be allowed to make the sale and purchase to teach your dumb butt a lesson!

Why did they investigate only after they got federal funds?

Illegal is Illegal!!! It does not matter how small it is. What right does a vender have selling products that was not made by the original designer? The designer went through the process of creating the product from start to finish. How is it right to reproduce their product and/or sell them with out their consent? Just because you like them does not mean you deserve a deep discount. In addition, there are also other brand names that produce nearly the same product under a legal different name and price drop. Also..It says on the movies that the product should not be reproduced or they could face criminal charges..WRONG is wrong. I feel sorry for the vendors at the NPFM who are legit. It is not a grey line...It is clear..It is wrong and illegal.

Everyone who goes there knows what they are buying. Was it wrong, yes. But to have so much time energy n money wasted on that is stupid. Write them a ticket n let them know your gonna be back, if they continue to do it then arrest them.
