Move forward to where? Oblivion! Did you bother to look at the nations debt? We can't afford to pay the interest on the debt. Having trouble balancing the states check book? What's a couple of billion in the hole?

Here is another liberal goodie that goes unanswered.

This is where your leading us governor. What was the name of that movie, "Blind Ambition?"

It appears your priorities don't involve citizens or our tax dollars. Your left turns keep leading us to a dead end.

What do you think is going to happen in Europe when the dominoes start falling this way. Look at the stock market in the last couple of days? Apparently not.

I think I got it right this time. This is a sanctuary state and it does matter. According to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee they reported that for each unskilled illegal worker entering this county it costs the taxpayers $89,000.

My mother is in a nursing home and the state will take everything she and my deceased father (WW II vet) earned. I have a problem with that. I don't care about the D's and the R's, it's the issues.

As for typos, here is a little history from the Watergate papers.

If you don't care about the D's and R's, then avoid using labels like "liberal", a label that isn't even being used correctly. Political liberals do not stand for the presence of illegal immigrants; they simply oppose some of the Draconian immigration laws that violate basic human rights.

The presence of illegal immigrants in Maryland, and several bad laws passed based around them (such as the MD DREAM act), boils down to the influence of special interests groups and politicians pandering to them (and the money behind them). If someone is making money by hiring illegals, or a group of legal immigrants starts catering to their friends and family, then they are likely the ones responsible for the bought politicians.

Leave "liberal" and "conservative" out of this: it's about money and power, something both sides of the fence are guilty of.

You made some good points. One about the pandering politicians and your last paragraph were good.

Power is a hard thing to relinquish, not only in politics, but every other phase of life as well. It seems that winning at all cost and maintaining the power or standing is the primary motivator.

It continues to be interesting how much the words "change" and "forward" are being intermingled with political decisions both here and afar....especially the word "forward" recently. Oh, well, probably just a coincidence!!

Isn't it strange that our Governor has adapted the "Forward" slogan? Julia, the President's poster woman, is a character in 1984 and the day the president announced his "Forward" campaign was May 5th, the birthday of Karl Marx. See any similarities in our Governor's policies and those of our President? Just saying.

I am tired of liberal and conservative labeling. I am an independent because neither of the parties in Maryland are for the people. O'malley, Bush and Miller are old time Pols who display no concern for the common citizens. they wasted the legislative session proposing Pet programs which were not properly scutinized for their benefits to the citizens. The tax measures were spur of the moment and very harmful to the average people.
The republicans in this state strike me as mean spirited and negative. Case in point are speed cameras and other safety measures. My neighborhood is very dangerous. People speed, run stop signs, and otherwise flaunt the law. The main streets in our development are very difficult to cross by the Children and disabled. many republicans fight speed cameras and call this a money grab. You would rather more of our children people become road kill. Both sides should GROW up and earn your keep by lokking out for US. For those who always respond to me with personal Attacks, leave me alone. i don't like you !!!

Mr. Z, I agree with you. Which is precisely why the Maryland constitution should be amended to state that only AFTER a budget is prepared, presented, approved, passed and then signed by the governor will any other business by the General Assembly be allowed. Enjoy your day, Mr. Z

I totally agree Matin you played us this year .Your not THAT stupid.you Knew the Gay marriage was going on the referendum. Why didn't you pass the budget first? you could have gotten the Gay marriage passed.Even those who disagree wanted the citizens to vote on it.I personally don't care what people do is there choice.I was disappointed with legislators that ran against it then changed.I believe you shouldn't have put them in that position you could have proposed legislation that would have let them vote to send it to the people and let them save the credibility they had. But as the head of the state it was Your job to pass the budget First ,you failed us AGAIN.
