http://dundalk.patch.com/groups/elections/p/brown-to-propose-universal-prekindergarten-in-marylandRead More ... So was this your work? If so thanks. My kids may not be able to get in, but eventually most middle class kids will and it is progress in an intelligent direction.

George this is an exciting development for universal pre-K in Maryland. It is an issue that hasRead More bubbled up in the Governor's race. The Sun today did an editorial begging the question how would this impact private day care centers. Jake

That should be an easy sell. And hopefully this is the great solution. I was taught that althoughRead More government budget's for public school, that in actuality they are borrowing money on each students behalf in hopes that each child would grow up and pay back there education costs through that students taxes. So what about private day cares? Does it not make sense that if that day care was registered as a teaching facility for kids or had an approved pre-k education course, that they couldn't pay at least part of the day cares dues for the greater good of each child? I mean also look at the health care budget, somehow Maryland manages to spend Billions of dollars more for health care then they do for education? Does it make sense that they manage to put Billions more for health care which is a pay as you use services for the vast majority of patients? So putting it in perspective of my finance. I pay $13,500 a year for bad health insurance, while Maryland state pays 35 Billion as well for bad health insurance, It is my highest household expense. It is also Marylands highest budget item... And for what? 1 Hospital for every 7 grade schools? At this cost a hospital bus should pick people up in there house every day.

There is no way that reactors for Fusion Energy will ever come into being in the near future. FusionRead More Energy's research / development is extremely expensive and it is still in its infancy although excellent progress has been made in recent years. The main stumbling block for increased research / development for Fusion Energy is government funding. Plus, scientists aren't even sure that the 'first' reactor would be reliable, so therefore more research is needed, and more research requires more funding. And with the 'Party of No' and its tea party minions, hell bent on spending cuts in all phases of government, Fusion Energy has a long way to go before coming into fruition. The 'Party of No' and its tea party minions will never support Fusion Energy simply because of their support for BIG OIL in this country. Obama's request for increased funding for 'Clean Energy' can be implemented but only gradually if funding is ever granted.
runymede September 13, 2013 at 09:03 am
And furthermore, with BIG OIL's grappling hold on this country, it will do everything in its powerRead More to block funding for Fusion Power Energy.
Jake Mohorovic September 13, 2013 at 10:30 am
Runymede, I agree. Big oil has blocked development of new energy alternatives forever. Yet whileRead More change is slow, it is constant. The "party of no" will also change or flame out. Congress needs to eliminate all government oil subsidies and re-channel those subsidies to fusion energy development

I have, I have emailed Barbara Mukulski on many issues ( TARP i was against, Iraq Against,Read More Affordable Health Care as written against ). I like the idea of our government sticking to public things, as in "Can any citizen use this?, is this for the common good of all?" If the answer is no on either of those I've been vocal. ( Pre-K for all?, Why not medicare for all? why not any public service be a public service, or not a public function? According to Maryland budget and federal budget combined it costs 30,000 dollars per person on medicare per year? This is the cheapest you could do?

I would assume "Failure to stay in lane" would be the most likely cause. Change it toRead More solid lines instead of dashed lines like the 95 and 895 tunnel. I would also assume that peoples attention would be less likely on the road the slower you go. And would also assume that 45 mph maximum with an up hill approach would cause traffic to even more of a stand still then it is when there are no accidents. Considering that only the front car could go 45 and every car behind it would naturally be going slower in a rubber banding nature.
Jake Mohorovic September 4, 2013 at 10:24 pm
George, are you sending the same email twice. They same one is coming in duplicates. Jake
George September 5, 2013 at 10:05 am
I don't know why it would double the emailing. Also a greater concern in Baltimore / Dundalk wouldRead More be crime. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/jan/07/violent-crime-lead-poisoning-british-export . I am currently dealing with a place in Virginia that is doing extremely interesting studies with insects. Maybe free testing or "How to Identify and Remove or Cover " would be a great start. Plenty of people do not understand the seriousness because effects are not instantaneous.
George September 3, 2013 at 05:17 pm
That is a good idea... Also allowing any child who is a county resident into Pre-K would also be aRead More good idea. I make more than 55k a year and therefore my daughter cannot go to our local pre-K class... I don't know who made that rule? We live here and are in no way shape or form well off.
