  at the premeire of his documentary\, Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey\
 , to help raise money for the Henrietta Lacks scholarship Fund for stude
 nts majoring in Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Math (STEM) at 
 CCBC.\nLacks was a Turner Station resident who died at age 31 of cervica
 l cancer. When Johns Hopkins removed her cervical cells for research\, t
 hey discovered that the cells survived longer than any before. Today\, H
 eLa cells are used to create the polio vaccine and for research on AIDS\
 , cancer and the effects of radiation on cells.\nCorporate sponsorships/
