The goal of this workshop is to educate residents about energy efficiency and to empower them to make improvements in their homes that will help save them money, remain warm and dry, and help protect the environment. The presentation will begin by exploring how energy habits affect your energy bill and will highlight the most wasteful habits to avoid. Next we will discuss no-cost and low-cost energy saving tips that anyone can take advantage of as well as how you can work with your family and neighbors to save energy. Finally, we will have a hands-on demonstration of window caulking and other critical improvements, so that attendees will walk away from the workshop with a concrete understanding of how to make their homes more energy efficient. Lunch and door prizes will be provided.
