The community and alumni are invited to participate in the Zumbathon with current students to raise funds for Patapsco High School's 50th anniversary in 2013. Zumba is a fun, energizing activity which incorporates music, dance and aerobic elements with choreography from many different styles. Admission is $5. Many of the student and magnet groups at the school will have tables selling items as well as the Patapsco Alumni, with refreshments also available for purchase. Proceeds benefit all of the participating groups.

The Patapsco High School & Center For the Arts offers a magnet program in the visual and performing arts. The school offers 15 Advanced Placement courses and magnet courses in visual arts, performing arts, dance, technical theater, vocal music and instrumental music. Founded in 1963, the school serves a diverse population with students coming from all around Baltimore County.
