Foggy Morning, Back-to-School Nights, Seasonal Blue Moon Tonight

Information to get your day in Dundalk started.

1. The Weather: Be careful on the road today because the National Weather Service is calling for areas of fog before 10 a.m. today. The day will start out cloudy and then transition to mostly sunny, with a high of about 87 degrees.

It will be mostly clear overnight, with a low of about 74.

2. From history.com's This Day in History: "A collision between two trains in northern India kills 358 people on this day in 1995. It was the worst train accident in the country's history, eclipsing a deadly 1981 accident. Both of the killer crashes involved cows. Due to the special significance of the cow in the Hindu religion, the animals are permitted to roam freely throughout India; occasionally, this can cause serious problems. The rail disaster on this day in 1995 at Firozabad was partially caused by a cow, but was also a result of problems with India's rail system."

3. Dundalk-Edgemere schools have scheduled their Back-to-School Nights. Check out the complete list here.

4. Get outside tonight to catch a glimpse of a seasonal Blue Moon. It's supposed to be a clear night so you should get a good view.

5. Calling all Dundalk photography buffs! I'm always accepting candidates for Dundalk Patch's Photo of the Day. Send your entry to marge.neal@patch.com.
