1. The Weather: The weather in Dundalk continues to be picture-perfect, according to the National Weather Service. Today will be partly sunny, with a high of about 82 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low of about 64.

2. From history.com's This Day in History: "On this day in 1890, an act of Congress creates Yosemite National Park, home of such natural wonders as Half Dome and the giant sequoia trees. Environmental trailblazer John Muir (1838-1914) and his colleagues campaigned for the congressional action, which was signed into law by President Benjamin Harrison and paved the way for generations of hikers, campers and nature lovers, along with countless "Don't Feed the Bears" signs."

3. A horseshoes tournament set for Saturday will benefit Dundalk's Burnham and Nicklas families.

4. Ashley Virginia is a new Dundalk Patch blogger. 

5. A garage sale will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at 6820 Holabird Ave.
