Thanks to heavy rain last weekend, a portion of Broening Highway will be closed this weekend instead.
Road crews will install a conduit scores the 2500 block of Broening Highway beginning at about 7 p.m. tonight (Friday, Oct. 18). The work is part of the ongoing Broening Highway Reconstruction Project, according to a statement from Port of Baltimore officials.
The work is expected to be completed by early Sunday, weather-permitting. Local businesses will be able to access their properties along Broening Highway but a detour will affect through traffic, according to the statement.
The Broening Highway reconstruction work began a year ago.
