Grab & Go Kids Planner Sept. 30-Oct. 6

We've dug up some upcoming events both parents and children will enjoy. Our Grab & Go Kids Planner will point you to places to take your kids each weekend.

Parents mutter about not having enough time to do the things we want/need to do. It’s particularly frustrating when we carve out free time but can’t find anything interesting to do with our kids. Patch will help you out each week by providing a Grab and Go list of upcoming events and activities that are parent/child friendly.  

  • Oct. 1, Balloons Around the World. Balloon artist Michael "Woody" Wittstadt arranges balloons into dogs, hats and a variety of wonderful sculptures. 2 p.m. Baltimore County Library, North Point, 1716 Merritt Blvd., 410-887-7255.
  • Oct. 1, 2 & 6, Computer Room. Use BCPL computer room to work independently in a quiet environment.  Work on lengthy projects such as résumés and term papers, or use BCPL's online databases. Age 13+. Resv. suggested. Times vary by day. Baltimore County Library, North Point, 1716 Merritt Blvd., 410-887-7255.
  • Oct. 2, Workshop: Paint Masterful Portraits.  Part of Family Sundays featuring Art of the Old Masters in October at the Baltimore Museum of Art. FREE for families. 2-5 p.m., 10 Art Museum Drive, 443-573-1700.
  • Oct. 5, Computer Know-How. Learn basic computer skills. Ages 13+.  Resv. Req.  7 p.m.  Baltimore County Library, North Point, 1716 Merritt Blvd., 410-887-7255.
  • Oct. 5, Preschool Story Time. Ages. 2-5 w/adult. Interact with your child to nurture a love of reading by enjoying stories, activities and songs together. 10:30 a.m. Baltimore County Library, North Point, 1716 Merritt Blvd., 410-887-7255.  Recurring every Wednesday.
  • Oct. 6, Evening Story Time. Interact with your child to nurture a love of reading by enjoying stories, activities and songs together. Ages 2-5. 7 p.m. Baltimore County Library, North Point, 1716 Merritt Blvd., 410-887-7255.
