Grab & Go Kids Planner, Sept. 9-15

Parents mutter about not having enough time to do the things we want/need to do. It’s particularly frustrating when we carve out free time but can’t find anything interesting to do with our kids. Patch will help you out each week by providing a Grab and Go list of upcoming events and activities that are parent/child friendly.  

• Thru Sept. 25, Tinkertoy: Build Your Imagination. Children can build and create their own inventions with a hands-on exhibit at Port Discovery. 410-727-8120.

• Sept. 13-18, Dark Matters. The dark, empty space between the stars in galaxies contains mysterious “dark matter” and "dark energy." Explore these Dark Matters at the Maryland Science Center. Times vary by day. 410-685-5225.
• Sept. 13-18, One World, One Sky, Big Bird’s Adventure.  Follow Sesame Street's Big Bird and Elmo as they explore the night sky with Hu Hu Zhu, a Muppet from Zhima Jie, the Chinese co-production of Sesame Street. Together, they take an imaginary trip from Sesame Street to the moon, where they discover how different it is from Earth. Maryland Science Center, Planetarium. 1 p.m. 410-685-5225.
