One Dog Found; Another Looking for Owner

Lily Mae is returned to her family; a reddish-brown dachshund is looking for its family.

There's good news on the dog front this week in Dundalk.

On July 5, Patch reported that Lily Mae, a 1-year-old Shih Zhu, had gone missing in her Dundalk neighborhood just hours before the Dundalk fireworks were scheduled to start.

Her owner, Bethany Pinter, said in an email to Patch that Lily is "extremely afraid" of fireworks, and asked the community's help in finding the frightened dog.

Lily was located on July 7 and returned to Pinter, who is grateful for the help she received in finding her pet.

It "took much dedication from so many people — some I knew and some I didn't," Pinter wrote in her email.

Another dog someone might be looking for has been found safe and sound and just needs to be reconnected with its owner.

Dundalk residents Paul and Adrienne Latanishen found a small, reddish-brown dachshund at about 10:30 p.m. July 8 in the Gray Haven neighborhood.
