Photo of the Day: Showcasing the Waterfront
The home of the Dundalk Packers, Chesterwood Park.
Susan Cummins took this picture of Chesterwood Park from the pier of her home in Watersedge.
Susan's parents, Pete and Lona Stishan, bought this home in 1959. She grew up there and lived there until she married Ron Cummins. The Cummins moved to New Orleans in 1979 to raise their two children, but returned to Dundalk in 2002 to help take care of Lona Stishan.
“Mom was diagnosed with severe dementia and had cancer,” said Cummins. “The doctors only gave her a few months to live. So we decided to move back to Dundalk. I could have never imagined staying long, but living here, on the water, brings a calm to our lives.”

When her mother passed away, Susan and Ron inherited the house and have been living there ever since. The two enjoy canoeing on Bullneck Creek and crabbing from the pier.
