Royal Baby Name: Can Maryland Get It Right?

The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth. Will England's next royal have one of Maryland's most popular baby names?

The royal baby watch finally came to an end Monday.

Kate Middleton went into labor around 1 a.m. and the baby arrived at 4:24 p.m. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a baby boy, the first child for her and Prince William.

Amid global anticipation, Kensington Palace sent out a statement earlier Monday:

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labor," according to an official statement on E! Online from the palace, released Monday morning, local time. "The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."

There was no name yet, so here's a look at Maryland's most popular baby names in 2012, according to the Social Security Administration:
