Saturday's Dundalk Farmers Market Will Feature 'Doggie Day'

The weekly market featuring locally produced produce, meats and eggs is held on Shipping Place in downtown Dundalk.

The Dundalk Farmers Market will go to the dogs Saturday when it hosts Doggie Day from 9 a.m. to noon.

The weekly market runs from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and features locally grown fruits, produce, eggs and flowers and locally raised meats.

Doggie Day, the theme of this week's "Super Saturday," will feature vendors who will offer a variety of dog products; adoptable dogs will be presented by the Baltimore County Animal Shelter, Eastern Animal Hospital, Harford County Humane Society and Black Dogs and Company and a variety of dog-related activities will be held.

Residents are encouraged to bring their dogs on leashes for the event, which will include a cutest puppy contest (for dogs under one year old) at 10 a.m. and a best-dressed dog contest at 10:30 a.m.

Activities will be held for children as well, according to an event flier.

The Dundalk Farmers Market is held along Shipping Place, in front of the Dundalk Village Shopping Center, each Saturday through November.
