Thursday Night Could Bring Baltimore Area's First Fall Frost

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Baltimore County.

Temperatures could reach freezing for the first time this fall overnight Thursday.

Temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 32 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.  It will stay relatively cool through Friday with the overnight low dropping to 33 degrees.

The National Weather service has issued a freeze watch, and resulting frost could damage some plants.  

The best method to protect those plants is to wrap them in burlap, linen or newspapers before sunset, according to the website Wise Geek.

But the colder temperatures are not expected to stick around too long as the lows are expected to be back in the mid 40s through the weekend.
