There are plenty of things to do in and around Baltimore this weekend.

Where/When: The Creative Alliance, 3134 Eastern Avenue, Patterson Park. Saturday, Sept. 17., 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Why Go: "A Declaration of Free Expression," the official commemoration of Frank Zappa Day. Bands include the New Kings of Rhythym, the All Mighty Senators, Big in Japan, Gene Ween of WEEN and Arbouretum.

2. Pigtown Festival

Where/When: Washington Village, Washington Boulevard, Baltimore. Saturday, Sept. 17. noon to 7 p.m.

Why Go: 10th Anniversary of the festival, featuring bands, beer and bazaar, Pigtown pooches and piglets.

3. Charm City Roller Girls

Where/When: DuBurns Arena, 1301 S. Ellwood Ave., Canton. Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18. Doors open at 7 p.m., Derby starts at 8 p.m.

Why Go: WFTDA East Region Playoffs for the Baltimore's only all-girl Roller Derby.

Why Go: Music, cornhole tournaments and rides will be among the activities scheduled for the event.

Where/When: Every address in St. Helena's is invited to participate. Saturday, Sept. 17 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
