When a read about the Colonial Weekend on Patch, I thought it would be a really neat thing to do. So Sunday, a friend and I ventured up to Jerusalem Mills. As we made our way through all the old stone buildings, seeing how people lived in the 18th century, it was a very enlightening experience. I also learned of a covered bridge within walking distance of the Mill. We ventured through the woods to find the bridge. It was a beautiful day which made the visit and the photos even better. I recommend this to anyone who likes 18th century history. Even though the reenactors are gone till the next event, some of these buildings are open on weekends for viewing. You should check the web site for all the details before going.
