Last Chance: '1940s Radio Music Hour' Closes Today

The Dundalk Community Theatre musical ends its six-performance run with a matinee today.

Dundalk Community Theatre invites you to "swing back to a time when music was grand and life seemed easier" this afternoon with a matinee performance of The 1940s Radio Hour.

The musical production celebrates the music of the 1940s with a comedy set inside a radio station, where the talent is broadcasting a Christmas special to the boys fighting overseas in 1942.

The theater company, in residence at The Community College of Baltimore County's Dundalk campus, has cast the show "with some of the best local talent around," according to a statement. The cast includes Joey Hellman (Johnny Cantone), Richelle "Rikki" Howie (Geneva Lee Browne), Molly Doyle (Ann Collier), Amy Greco (Connie Miller), Lauren Everd (Ginger Brooks), Will Poxon (BJ Gibson), Henry Reisinger (Neal Tilden), Jake Stuart (Lou Cohn), Al Boeren (Clifton Feddington), Thomas Gardner (Stanley), Ralph Welsh (Pops Bailey), Emil Sueck (Wally Ferguson) and Cheryl Vourvoulas  and Kristen Cooley (Cameos).

The show ends its six-performance run today with a final curtain time of 3 p.m. in the John E. Ravekes Theater, K Building on the Dundalk campus, 7200 Sollers Point Road.

Tickets cost $23 for adults; $20 for senior citizens; and $15 for students, DCT actors and children ages 12 and younger.
