'Navy's Oldest and Finest' to Perform at Dundalk Middle School

The U.S. Naval Academy Band's free concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the school, 7400 Dunmanway.

"The Navy's Oldest and Finest" will fill the Dundalk Middle School auditorium with music on Oct. 17.

The United States Naval Academy Band will offer a free concert beginning at 7 p.m., according to a statement from Baltimore County.

The band has been providing music for the Brigade of Midshipmen and the academy's surrounding community since 1852, according to the statement.

Headquartered at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, the military band offers 15 different ensembles that perform a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to contemporary.

The band is under the direction of Lt. Commander Bruce McDonald.

Naval Academy Band concerts are free and open to the public with no tickets required.
