Five Guys Looking for a Dundalk Location

The fast-food burger chain is looking for suitable sites in Dundalk and Ellicott City.

Know of a 2,500 -  3,000 square foot space for rent?

That’s how much room Mike McLaughlin is looking for to open additional Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurants, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.

McLaughlin, who already owns seven of the restaurants, is looking to open numbers eight and nine in Ellicott City and Dundalk. The Millersville resident told the Journal that he’s looking for free-standing or strip center locations for the burger chain.

Forbes magazine in its August issue called Five Guys the fastest-growing chain in the United States. There are currently 55 locations in Maryland and more than 1,000 locations in the United States and Canada, according to the corporate website. The chain started in Arlington, VA in 1986, according to the website.

McLaughlin told the Journal that the business model worked because of its simplicity.
