Groupon Deal Offers Dundalk-Based Fishing Charters

Today's Groupon deal offers a three-hour fishing charter out of Anchor Bay East Marina at a huge discount.

About 35 hours remain to snag the deal, which offers a three-hour fishing, crabbing or sightseeing trip for two to six people, according to the deal.

The discounted price is $99, a 62 percent savings off the regular price of $260.

U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captains supply all bait, rods and equipment needed to catch rockfish, perch, bluefish and catfish, or haul crabs up from the Chesapeake Bay's bottom, according to the ad.

After the cruise, the day's catch will be steamed by the folks at Hard Yacht Cafe, "giving customers a meal fresher than a candle that smells like clean laundry," organizers said.

For those choosing the sightseeing option, captains will tour the bay and point out Baltimore landmarks, such as the USS Constellation and Fort Carroll.

Cruises and charters can be taken starting June 1 and must be taken by Oct. 30.

The trips are provided by Upper Chesapeake Bay Charters and run by USCG-licensed captains and career fishermen who "know the Chesapeake Bay like the back of their hands," according to the ad.
