Hopkins Bayview Offers Free Cancer Fair Thursday

The East Baltimore hospital will offer information, free health screenings at the event.

Community members are invited to attend a free cancer informational event hosted by the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center's Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The event will offer an overview of cancer programs, services, information, education and multidisciplinary approaches to managing cancer treatments and caring for patients, according to a statement from the hospital.

Scheduled exhibitors include American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Wellnet, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, All Shades of Pink and Bayview's respiratory and oncology departments and services.

Free services available at the fair include a lung age calculator test, blood pressure screenings, body mass index calculations and glucose and cholesterol tests.

The fair will be held outside the entrance to the Francis Scott Key Pavilion on the Bayview campus, 4940 Eastern Ave.
