Eastfield Stanbrook Civic Association Celebrates at Christmas Party

The annual Eastfield Stanbrook Civic Association Christmas Party drew an enthusiastic gathering at the Grange Elementary School and featured Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, Spider-Man, karaoke, crafts and face painting. And did I mention if was all free for the kids?  

There was one new addition to the party, 15-day-old Laura, daughter of Michael and Shannon Holthaus. The picture tells the story and reminded me of another story from long ago.

When Karen Cruz emailed me with the announcement of the party, I knew that because of her efforts and those of her husband, Rick, this would be an event I would not want to miss.

Upon my arrival at the Grange Elementary School, I had a sense that this was truly going to be a great Christmas Party-since there was no place to park among the sea of vehicles.

As the crowd of parents and children filed into the school, I knew I was headed in the right direction. Rick Cruz greeted me at the door and I was shocked at the number of people inside the school.

The special guest included Boyd and Kathi Crouse as Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Lee and Kelly doing the karaoke, face painting by Bonnie Knotts, and Spider-Man, also known as John Reilly

I might add that all the above people donated their time to this event.
