It seems as though the Seagram’s property has yet another dark cloud hanging above it.
Details are sketchy at this point, but—according to John Vontran and the Baltimore County Police Department—an unidentified body was found on the Dundalk property sometime Saturday. No other details are available on the time of death, cause of death, or identity of the victim.
According to Mr. Vontran, police advised him of the incident on Monday. It appears the victim entered the property illegally and may have been involved with drugs. Police officials stated that the incident was not investigated by the homicide squad. In cases of this type, detectives respond to the scene and—based on their findings—determine if the situation calls for a criminal investigation.

In this case it did not.
Mr. Vontran said the fence around the Seagram’s property is constantly being repaired in an effort to keep out trespassers, but to no avail. They always seem to find a way inside.

There have been numerous past issues that have haunted the property. In 2012, Arthur Miskimon’s 19-year-old son died after falling off a catwalk at the property.
As you may recall, Mr. Vontran recently was involved in the RFP process involving the Government Center. His bid of $5 million was rejected in favor of Vanguard’s $2.1 million offer, which—according to reports—already may be facing some problems.
In an interesting connection, some readers on the Patch.com believe that the Seagram’s property would be better suited for the relocation of the police precinct rather than the old Eastwood Elementary School.
John Ayers, past president of the Norwood Holabird Community Association feels the Seagram's property could be an ideal location for a state of the art police academy and police precinct.
Then again, that is just public opinion, and we all know what that is worth around these parts.
