Here We Go With These Rats Again!

Colgate is filled with rats, some with two legs.

Colgate is infested with vermin. Illegal dumping is rampant, homes are in poor shape in some areas, and it seems like the situation is not improving.

I also hear this issue is all over the place, Eastpoint, Northpoint, Old Dundalk...everywhere.

Code Enforcement is working overtime to keep up with all the complaints, but people dump things all over the community without any intention of doing the right thing.

Landlords are making tons of money from renters, yet nothing keeps them in line with inspections, registrations and appearance. I received a call from a long-time resident last week. She was afraid to come out of her house due to the rats running all over the place later in the day. Our children poke at dead rats while playing in the fecal matter and urine.

How can our elected representatives allow this to continue? This should be attacked with everything they have.  We pay taxes, right?

I don't get it. We pay our taxes like everyone else, work hard like everyone else, have all the same problems, yet I can't seem to find a rat in Towson anywhere.

The Colgate Improvement Association is about to venture into new territory if we cannot get something back for our tax dollars shelled out to live in Baltimore County. We can't sit by and wait while our community deteriorates before our eyes. We need a return for our investment. Is it too much to ask?
