There's good stuff happening all day - each day on June 29, 30 and July 1 - at the Dundalk Heritage Fair.
All of the bands/singers are very good. There is live music all day. Don't miss out on so much good entertainment by waiting until the international rock stars go on stage before you come listen to the music.
There are wholesome kids' activities all day.
Food's fine and the arts and crafts vendors section will be jam-packed with nice goods to see and purchase.
Most of the fair's food stalls will return, and you can add one from Costas - one of the highest-rated restaurants in Maryland. The fair's arts and crafts section will have around 50 stalls set up, where you can chat with and buy from some talented and creative artisans.
If you live close to where the fair is held—in shady and green Dundalk Heritage Park - it may be worth your while to walk on over there for awhile. In previous years, I've been there in the afternoon when it wasn't crowded at all.
It only costs five bucks apiece for folks over 12 years old, and that admission price helps pay for a better 4th of July parade and fireworks display.
The fair is run by an all-volunteer crew.
I heard that a Dundalk resident was riding past New York City earlier this week, and heard a radio station up there talking about a Joan Jett concert with a meager $5.00 admission price. Another person was up at Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland last weekend and heard a radio station up there talking about Joan Jett in Dundalk for five bucks a head.
If you wanna good spot to watch the Joan Jett concert from on Saturday and Dennis DeYoung (music of Styx - he was their original singer) on Friday, you best get to the fair early. The Mahoney Brothers' Beatlemania Show is always a big draw at the fair, and they play on Sunday evening.
This year, the fair will probably be better than it has been in a long time. It WILL have a substantial crowd on Friday and Saturday evening. Get there early and you can place your chairs or blankets out for a good spot to see the rock stars, then have a nice time enjoying other aspects of one of the best community events in the entire known universe.
To see what the fair is like these days, if you haven't been there for awhile or never been, check out my fan page for it:
