Baltimore Mag: Costas Inn is 'Crabtastic'

A Dundalk institution, the Costas Inn on North Point Boulevard and the restaurant's stuffed lobster tail gets selected among the top local crab dishes.

The cover of Baltimore magazine’s July issue, “Crabtastic!” is a shout out to the city’s best and most creative crab dishes.

Noting that there’s never anything wrong with traditional steamed crabs, dishes from 26 area restaurants are highlighted – everything from Canton Dockside’s crab pretzel to Mathew’s Pizza’s crab pie in Highlandtown.

Closer to home, Costas Inn’s stuffed lobster tail made the cut – with a half-page photo, too.

Here is Baltimore magazine’s take on the Dundalk institution:

“Known for classic steamed-crab-and-mallet suppers, Costas Inn (4100 North Point Blvd., Dundalk, 410-477-1975) also has a thing for crab imperial—a heap of crab slathered in creamy white sauce offered atop shrimp, orange roughy, the fish du jour, or even on its own. But to experience this lumpilicious treat at the pinnacleof opulence, try the stuffed lobster tail ($35.95), a thick curl of delectable meat straining from its shell. “
