Child Victim Home after Eastwood Dog Attack

The 20-month-old girl was treated at Johns Hopkins for eye injuries.

The victim of a recent dog attack in Eastwood is home from the hospital, according to Fox 45.

The toddler who was bitten by a pit bull-beagle mix nearly lost an eye after the dog dragged her across a room, Fox 45 reported.

The March 10 incident occurred at a family friend's home on the 7200 block of Conley Street.

From Eastwood, the victim was flown by helicopter to Johns Hopkins Children's Center for treatment, where she received stitches for eye injuries.

Within days, Baltimore County Animal Control euthanized the dog.

As of March 20, charges have not been filed against Mark Southard, the man who, according to WBAL, was the dog's owner. The dog reportedly bit the toddler without provocation.

Why are dog bites only reported in the media if the dog is a so-called "pit bull" ? Dogs bite all the time. It has nothing to do with breed. Why don't we see the media hype when a pomeranian kills a baby ? (true incident) or when cocker spaniel butes off a toddlers thumb ? Because the news feeds the overblown hysteria. Shame on all of you.

Hi Tina, Thanks for the feedback! We've inquired with Baltimore County to get data regarding types of dogs involved in the approximately 1,000 dog bite incidents it handles each year.

In retrospect, they should have built the LNG Plant. We would have had thousands of people working.

Actually, if the country hadn't become a natural gas exporter rather than an importer the LNG plantRead More probably would have proceeded. Opponents raised such a fuss about the dredging required but if the state wants to dredge, step aside. They'll do what they want.

TheyRead More better order some more cranes from Shanghai Zenhui in China they take a while to build and transport here and the worldwide demand for them is huge. Those new container ships can transport 15,000 containers whereas the current ones max out at 5,000.
