Charles Trautwein failed to stop for backed-up Chicago traffic and rear-ended a car driven by Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose.
A Dundalk man has been cited in a car crash in Chicago that involved an NBA player.
Charles Trautwein, of Dundalk, failed to stop for backed-up traffic on Chicago's Kennedy Expressway at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and rear-ended a 2011 Bentley driven by Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
A Chicago Fire Department ambulance was dispatched to the scene, according to the Sun-Times, but Rose refused treatment and told paramedics he would see his own doctor later.

The crash just added to a bad day for Rose, according to basketball website Slam.
The basketball player on Tuesday was fined $25,000 for comments he made about NBA referees, according to Slam's website.
While Slam reported that Rose has missed a few games in the past month because of back spasms, the Sun-Times quoted Bulls vice president John Paxson as saying Rose was "uninjured" in the crash.
Trautwein was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, according to both online accounts.
