Fort Howard, Edgemere Men Face Armed Robbery Charges

A Fort Howard man and an Edgemere man have been charged with armed robbery stemming from an alleged assault in Fort Howard on Sept. 11.

According to , Robert Hewitt, 31, of Fort Howard and Ronald Roy Acors Jr., 30, of Edgemere held a knife to the throat of a 31-year-old Edgemere man, threatened to kill him and took his cell phone. The cell phone was later recovered, according to police.

Hewitt, who lives in the 9200 block of North Point Road, faces a preliminary hearing on charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and armed robbery Oct. 7. He remains committed to the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Acors, who lives in the 2800 block of Salisbury Avenue, also faces charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and armed robbery. A preliminary date for Acors was not available. He was released from Baltimore County Detention Center after posting bond.

The alleged incident took place Sept. 11 between 2:45 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. in the 7500 block of Blank Avenue in Fort Howard.

According to police reports, the weapon was a silver knife with a black handle.

The three men are described as acquaintances by Baltimore County police.
