Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Colgate
Victim was stabbed in the neck and taken to Bayview Hospital.
An Essex man was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder by Baltimore County police in connection with a July 26 stabbing in Colgate.
Justin Anthony Levero, 26, of the 700 block of Mansfield Road, Essex, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and related offenses for allegedly cutting a Colgate man in the neck, according to police.

According to police reports, Michael Eugene Myers, 32, and Teresa Ann Timmerman, 53, both of the 7700 block of Eastdale Road, had an altercation with Levero, which led to an alleged assault on Timmerman.
Levero allegedly continued to make comments that angered Myers, who approached him. Levero then brandished a folding knife, and wounded Myers in the neck, according to police. Myers was taken to Bayview Hospital in serious condition and was later released.

Levero is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. He remains committed to the Baltimore County Detention Center following a bail review on July 28, according to online court records. A trial date has been set for Aug. 28.
