In my travels throughout Dundalk, I've noticed a large number of mailboxes that jump out from their mundane, standard-issue counterparts.
I've seen lighthouses, Deere tractors, shingled cottages, a school bus and this wide-mouth fish serving as mail receptacles for residents who want more than a plain black box sitting at the end of the driveway.
Even Royal Farm stores get in on the action with their chicken mailboxes.
Enjoy this picture of a custom-made fish mailbox found on North Point Road in Edgemere.
Dundalk Patch will periodically feature a creative mailbox spotted in town.
If you're proud of your creative and unique mailbox, let me know about it, or add your own picture here.
