Two local high school students are recuperating at a local hospital after being struck by a car on Wise Avenue on Thursday.
students Erin Odle, 14, and Ernest Odle, 16, of the 2000 block of Jasmine Road, were hit by a car at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday as they attempted to cross Wise Avenue in the middle of the block, according to Baltimore County Police Department officials.
The brother and sister were taken by ambulance to the Johns Hopkins Hospital's pediatric unit, according to Cpl. Cathy Batton. Their medical conditions were stabilized as of Thursday night, Batton said.
The students were hit by a 1999 Nissan Maxima driven by Joshua Morris, 23, of the 1700 block of Drexel Road.
"There are no charges against the driver," Batton said Friday. "The cause appears to be pedestrian error."
Erin and Ernest were crossing the five-lane road about 200 feet from the intersection of Wise and Inverness avenues, where there is a crosswalk, Batton said.
