Programs Galore at North Point, Sollers Point Libraries

Check out these coming programs at the North Point and Sollers Point libraries.

Library staff members are busy putting the finishing touches on several programs available this month at the North Point and Sollers Point branches of the Baltimore County Public Library system.

From story time for babies and video gaming for teens to basic Internet skills for teens and adults, library staffers offer a variety of free programs and activities for all ages.

The following free activities are available in March for children and teens:

North Point Branch, 1716 Merritt Boulevard, 410-887-7255:

Introduction to the Internet: Learn basic Internet skills, for ages 13 and up, registration required, Monday, March 18, 2 p.m. Note: This program is also open to adults.

Preschool Story Time: Stories, songs and activities, for ages 2-5 (children must be accompanied by an adult), Wednesday, March 20, 10 a.m.

Baby Story Time: Stories, rhymes, bounces and songs, followed by a play time, for ages 0-23 months with an adult, registration required, Wednesday, March 20, 11 a.m.

Computer Room: Use the computer room to work independently in a quiet environment. Reservations are suggested but walk-ins are welcome, space permitting; 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays; 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Note: This program is also open to adults.

Thursday Night Knit and Stitch: The gathering is led by volunteer Paula Dixon. Bring your knitting, crocheting or needlecraft project and learn from each other. All levels of experience are welcome. Thursday, March 21, 6:30 p.m. Note: This program is also open to adults.

Sollers Point Branch, 323 Sollers Point Road, 410-288-3123:

Preschool Story Time: Stories, rhymes, bounces and songs, followed by a play time, for ages 2-5 years with an adult. Registration is required. Tuesday, March 19, 10:30 a.m.

Baby Story Time: Stories, rhymes, bounces and songs, followed by a play time, for ages 0-23 months with an adult. Registration is required. Tuesday, March 19, 11:30 a.m.

Video Gaming for Teens: Play Super Mario Bros., Just Dance and other Wii games. Registration required. Thursday, March 21, 3:30 to 5 p.m.
