Weather Alert: Water Rising in Millers Island

Much of Chesapeake Avenue is under water as wind surges force water up on land.

Millers Island resident Michelle Danna-Christian has been keeping an eye on the water near her house all morning and was shocked to see how high the water rose on Chesapeake Avenue in just an hour.

"I saw the water and then ran around the house packing a bag in case I can't come home after work tonight," the veterinarian told Patch.

She took the accompanying photos at about 10:30 a.m.
