Dundalk Art Show, Dunfest Set for Saturday

Heritage and Veterans parks in downtown Dundalk will be overflowing with fun, art and activities May 11.

Saturday will be a big day in downtown Dundalk, with large, free public events scheduled for both Heritage and Veterans parks.

In Heritage Park (Trading Place and Dunmanway), the Dundalk Community Partnership and the Dundalk Renaissance Corp. will present Dunfest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The family-oriented festival will include inflatables, live music, information on many resources available to residents and prizes.

The event is "equal parts music, food, games and family activities and useful resource information," according to the renaissance group's website.

The Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society and Museum will present the 47th Dundalk Art Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Veterans Park (along Shipping Place).

Professional and non-professional artists, ranging in age from elementary school children to senior citizens, will display a variety of works in several media, including painting, crafts, photography, sculpture and needlecraft.

The show is judged and awards will be presented in a variety of categories.
